Gary is Chairman of the board of directors, President, and Chief Executive Officer of White River Bancshares and Signature Bank, and a member of their respective boards of directors. Mr. Head graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Finance and Banking and began his career with McIlroy Bank and Trust in 1983. He moved up to lender before joining First State Bank, Springdale, Arkansas as Vice President Commercial Lending in 1984. Mr. Head graduated from the SMU School of Banking in 1987 and rejoined McIlroy Bank and Trust as Vice President Commercial Loans. In 1990, Mr. Head was promoted to Senior Vice President and Loans Division Manager and was charged with growing the bank's loan portfolio. His success in this endeavor led Mr. Head to be promoted to Executive Vice President and Sales Manager. In 1999, Mr. Head was named President and CEO of McIlroy Bank and Trust. Mr. Head maintained the position of President and CEO of McIlroy Bank and Trust after its merger with Arvest Bank. He currently serves on the boards of Pagnozzi Charities, Ozark Guidance Foundation, Fayetteville Economic Development Council, and The Northwest Arkansas Council.
